Heavenly Choco-Delight Microwave Mug Cake

Heavenly Choco-Delight Microwave Mug Cake

Quick and Easy Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake

Note: The cooking time may vary depending on the wattage of your microwave. If you're unsure, start with 70 seconds and increase the time in 10-second intervals until the cake is set but moist. Don't overcook it as the cake can become dry.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk (any type of milk you prefer)
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil (or melted butter)
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon chocolate chips or your favorite flavor baking chips

Instructions:

  1. Lightly coat the bottom of a microwave-safe mug or coffee cup with cooking spray.
  2. In the mug, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  3. Add the milk, canola oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract to the mug. Stir until you have a smooth batter, making sure to scrape the bottom of the mug to incorporate all the ingredients.
  4. Optionally, mix in the chocolate chips or simply sprinkle them on top.
  5. Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for 70-90 seconds, or until the cake is just set. It should still be slightly shiny on top. (Microwave power may vary, so adjust the cooking time accordingly, if needed).
  6. Allow the mug cake to rest in the microwave for 1 minute before taking it out.
  7. Grab a spoon and enjoy your delicious homemade chocolate mug cake!
